Description

Before fitted kitchens came along, a Hoosier cabinet was the ultimate kitchen storage, a freestanding unit that was popular in the first half of the 20th century. More than just a storage cabinet, the hoosier was a work station for baking and cooking. This versatile piece was often outfitted with workable parts, like a flour sifter, its many little cabinets and drawers are useful for all your kitchenalia items.  Almost all the cabinets were manufactured by companies in Indiana USA before styles changed and fitted kitchens became the rage in the 1940s.

This one is made by Sellers and is in good vintage condition, the roller door works well and glides smoothly, does have some external scuffs and knocks but nothing major, see photos.  Nice original slag glass panels on the main doors. The top and bottom are two separate units, but secured together. The white enamel top pulls out for extra working space (see pics) metal drawer on bottom right has some rusting and pitting, top right draw has had base replaced.
