Before fitted kitchens came along, a Hoosier cabinet was the ultimate kitchen storage, a freestanding unit that was popular in the first half of the 20th century. More than just a storage cabinet, the hoosier was a work station for baking and cooking. This versatile piece was often outfitted with workable parts, like in this case, a flour sifter, its many little cabinets and drawers give it a vintage feel. Almost all the cabinets were manufactured by companies in Indiana USA before styles changed and fitted kitchens became the rage in the 1940s.

This one is in good vintage condition, the roller door works well and glides smoothly, but does have a small area of damage on the right hand side, see photos.  Nice slag glass panels on the main doors, small area of damage to the flour sifter door, again see pics. The top and bottom are two separate units, bottom unit on castors.
